With breathtaking views to the island of Lismore, Mull and Moidart, The Pierhouse’s personal and informal atmosphere is perfect for a relaxing break. The 12 bedrooms are individually styled with a fresh, contemporary feel offering a peaceful night’s sleep at our water’s edge setting.
Our award-winning restaurant with wonderful panoramic views is known for its fresh, local seafood - simply cooked to perfection. We use only the finest seasonal Scottish seafood, meat, game and vegetables. We work very closely with our local suppliers to achieve exceptionally high standards of quality and fresh ingredients. Our oysters are hand-picked from nearby Loch Creran; mussels and langoustines are harvested from Loch Linnhe and Loch Etive with crab, lobster and white fish also caught in local waters. In addition to seafood, we serve succulent local meat and wild game from farms and private estates, as well as vegetarian dishes. Our restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner.
The Ferry Bar stocked with over 90 malts and a wood burning stove is the perfect place to unwind and watch the world go by on the adjacent pier.
The hotel has 7 yacht moorings available and can also arrange therapeutic massage treatments and outdoor adventure activities for guests. Bar lunches and evening meals are served daily in the bar. Teas, coffees and home-baking is available all day in the Bar or on the sun terrace overlooking the loch.
The coastal village of Port Appin and nearby isle of Lismore offers a wealth of activities for lovers of the great outdoors. Gentle walks, cycle rides on the National Cycle Network and in the forests, Munro and Corbett hill walking, sea kayaking, bird watching as well as looking out for seals and otters on the loch.
