Travelling from Glasgow could not be easier, simply follow signs for the A83, these will be marked Dumbarton, Tarbet, Inveraray and Campbeltown. Your initial stop will be the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, from here you can continue along the A83 towards the Cairnbaan Hotel and other establishments or alternatively double back for a few mile and follow the road to Tighnabruach to the Royal Hotel, where you can catch a scheduled ferry from Calmac to Tarbert and continue your travel along the trail.
Flights are available from various airports that fly to Campbeltown airport and vehicles can be hired from the Peugeot dealer, at the north entrance, as you travel by road from Machrihanish Airport to Campbeltown. There is also a public bus service that runs which whilst does not make scheduled stops at all the locations, this may able you to visit some establishments on the main transport route.
We recommend that you book accommodation well in advance of your visit if you intend to peruse the establishments at your leisure. There are many high quality accommodation establishments available including some excellent rooms available at some of the Seafood Trail members.
