Head to Inveraray Highland Games on Tuesday, 22 July, for a great day out for all the family.
Taking place in the beautiful setting of Inveraray Castle, the Inveraray Highland Games is a superb day out for all. The Games start with a pipe band parade at 10.45am, marching from the town to the castle grounds. Highlights of the day include the Heavy and Light events – the caber tossing World Championships, hammer & weight throw events and more. The light events include running, cycling, long & high jump and wrestling. A great sight for spectators!
No Highland Game would be complete without piping competitions, pipe bands and Highland dance competitions - there's so much going on throughout the day. Feeling peckish? – not a problem. The Games also have a good selection of local Scottish food and drink stands as well many trade and charity stalls. You won't go hungry!
